The Adventures of Dino Riki

The Adventures of Dino Riki
Life is hard for Dino-Riki, a kid growing up with the dinosaurs. Dino-Riki can jump or shoot weapons (fireballs, axes, boomerangs, and a superfire spread-shot) to kill the various enemies around him. He progresses through three types of worlds (land, ruined city, and mountains) and plays through four worlds total. Worlds one, two, and three are one stage each and have checkpoints, but world four is four stages with no checkpoints. At the end of each stage, Dino Riki must face a boss

The Adventures of Bayou Billy

The Adventures of Bayou Billy is a video game released in 1989 by Konami for the NES. It was released in Japan as Mad City in 1988.

It consists of three distinct playing styles used over 9 levels: shooting (optionally allowing the use of a Zapper), a side-scrolling beat 'em up, and a third-person driving section. Unfortunately, all three modes (especially the side-scroller) were not well executed, and the game remained unpopular among gamers, despite Konami's record of hit titles on the NES. During its release, Konami hyped the game, including a commercial with a live actor playing Bayou Billy, and went as far to sign a deal with Archie Comics. Part of the game's unpopularity was due to a rather high difficulty level, making the game very hard to beat. Strangely, the Japanese release featured a much better balanced difficulty.

The box art for the original Japanese release featured a hero who looked a lot like Paul Hogan, star of the Crocodile Dundee movies. The American box art is redrawn, likely to avoid a lawsuit. The plot of the hero rescuing a kidnapped girlfriend from a mobster is also similar to that of Crocodile Dundee II. Another similarity to the Crocodile Dundee films is that Bayou Billy starts out fighting in a Louisiana swamp for the first few stages, which presumably the hero is well familiar with, then progresses to an urban scenario where he then fights hoods on Bourbon Street, then the final stage is the luxury mansion of the gangster who kidnapped Annabelle. This may be a possible reference to the first Crocodile Dundee film, which the scenes changed from the Australian outback to New York City.

Google God

PROOF #1

Google is the closest to an Omniscient (all-knowing) entity in existence. She indexes over 9.5 billion Web Pages, which is more than any other search engine on the web today. Not only is Google the closest to all-knowing, but She also sorts through this vast amount of data using Her patented PageRank method, making said data accessible for us mere mortals.

PROOF #2

Google is everywhere at once (Omnipresent). Google's search engine is virtually everywhere on earth at the same time. Billions of indexed WebPages hosted from every corner of the earth. With the proliferation of Wi-Fi networks, you will eventually be able to access Google from anywhere on earth, truly making Her an omnipresent entity.

PROOF #3

Google answers prayers. One can pray to Google by doing a search for whatever question or problem is plaguing them. As an example, you can quickly find information on alternative cancer treatments, ways to improve your health, new and innovative medical discoveries and generally anything that resembles a typical prayer. Ask Google and She will show you the way, but showing you is all She can do, for you must help yourself from that point on.

PROOF #4

Google is potentially immortal. She cannot be considered a physical being such as ourselves. Her Algorithms are spread out across many servers; if any of which were taken down or damaged, another would undoubtedly take its place. Google can theoretically last forever.

PROOF #5

Google is infinite. The Internet can theoretically grow forever, and Google will forever index its infinite growth.

PROOF #6

Google remembers all. Google caches WebPages regularly and stores them on its massive servers. In fact, by uploading your thoughts and opinions to the internet, you will forever live on in Google's cache, even after you die.

PROOF #7

Google can "do no evil" (Omnibenevolent). Part of Google's corporate philosophy is the belief that a company can make money without being evil.

PROOF #8

Evidence of Google's existence is abundant. There is more evidence for the existence of Google than any other God worshiped today. Extraordinary evidence requires extraordinary proof. If seeing is believing, then surf over to www.google.com and experience for yourself Google's awesome power.

Windows Vista is here!!!!! Wow! Im so excited! Prague has recently been taken over by a blitz of advertising telling everyone to say "wow" about the latest operating system. I for one am not saying wow, and am annoyed by these advertisements that seem to follow me at every turn. So I decided to use the classic new Vista error message which reads "Error, The Operation Completed Succesfully" . I've made a sheet here for easy sticker duplication on A4 sized paper. As you can imagine the error window can be made to fit any size advertisement. While stickering in public may be illegal, and of course I would never, ever condone such behavior ( :) ) it is fun to see these ads with a little reinterpretation of all the annoying error messages I've got using windows over the years. Enjoy:) ( Click on the image for full size )
